MORZINE IN WINTER
Having spent many weeks in the region over the past 8 years we think we know it pretty well.
The Portes du Soleil ski area is one of the biggest winter playgrounds in the world, with 12 linked resorts on either side of the French-Swiss border. In the heart of the French and Swiss Alps, the ski area is located between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, often experiencing excellent snowfall - more than 8 metres every year!
The Portes du Soleil offers 400 km² of skiing with 286 pistes: 32 black, 101 red, 119 blue and 34 green. It has 196 ski lifts and 30 snow parks, so something for everyone, not forgetting 99 restaurants on the slopes - and of course the infamous ‘Swiss Wall,’ ranked amongst one of the Top Ten runs in the world!
We are still discovering new runs and restaurants all the time. Obviously we have our favourites, and we may well just share some of our secret spots with you! But it is not only the winter...

MORZINE IN SUMMER
The summers here are gorgeous and YES the lifts are open!
Not all the lifts are open but a good selection along with a good selection of mountain restaurants.
*
Things to do:
Mountain bike, road bike, motor bike, walk, hike, swim, rafting, climbing, horse riding, canyoning, paragliding, swimming, golf - or just enjoy reading a book whilst enjoying a glass of something cool.
Morzine is without a doubt a place for a summer holiday, always investing in making things happen, having hosted stages of the Tour de France, with the infamous Col de Joux Plane on its door step, amongst many other challenging climbs all a stone's throw from the town centre.
The Mont Blanc Rallye is an annual motorsport event and 3 days of stages are based in Morzine. Spartan is another big outdoor event, annually hosted here for athletes who need the ultimate challenge. The Harley Davidson festival has become another firm bi-annual fixture which you don’t have to be a hardened biker to enjoy. Most weekends from June to September the locals are hosting an event of some description or other so give it a try.
It will not disappoint!
